Large Rectangle Rimu Board

This large serving board has the ideal dimensions to fit down the middle of a rectangular table, filled with breads and dips and the like. It features 'tongue' edges (from the tongue and groove of the original material), and includes 'feet' which add to its strength, and also make it easy to pick up and put down.

These boards are all handcrafted from NZ Rimu, reclaimed from the doors, door-frames, window-frames, and other structures of various buildings. The different origins of the materials guide the design and style of each board, allowing the natural grain of the wood to feature. The result is that no two boards are ever exactly the same.

Every board is finished with a light coating of natural beeswax which is food grade. To care for your board, we recommend that you simply wipe it down with a damp cloth after use rather than immersing it in water. It may also benefit from the occasional rub with beeswax.
